A Visit from Dr. Werner

On Thursday, February 16, the Clover Hill Orchestras had the opportunity to learn from Dr. Lauretta Werner, the Assistant Professor of Strings at Longwood University and director of the Longwood Center for Community Music's string program. Werner taught as Lecturer of Violin at West Virginia University, as a Suzuki violin instructor at the Pittsburgh Music Academy and the Hope Academy of Music and the Arts in Pittsburgh, and as a teaching fellow at Interlochen Summer Arts Camp.

Dr. Werner worked with the orchestras on their Assessment programs and worked on movement, dynamics, style and articulation, vibrato, pizzicato, and performance anxiety to help String Ensemble and Concert Orchestra take their music to the next level in preparation for our Pre-Assessment Concert next week.

A huge thank you to Dr. Werner for working with us and helping us prepare for Assessment!
